BRIEF HISTORY OF AMAWBIA YOUTHS
In the past i.e. from the origin of Amawbia, their exist a typical traditional youth Organization called initiation into manhood society (Iba mmonwu) or initiation into Age-Grade formation which can be categorized as youth organization since it involves youthful age to kick off.
EARLY HISTORY OF REFORMED YOUTH ORGANIZATION IN AMAWBIA TOWN.
Previously in 70s, 80s and 90s Youth organization can only be trace to families, Kindreds, and villages mainly for development, entertainment and digging of grave during burial of their loved ones. The only organization that looks like modern Youth Government then was Otu Udo which their main function is to control masquerades and other traditional institution activities.
ESTABLISHMENT OF AMAWBIA YOUTH VANGUARD
The current Amawbia Youth Vanguard came into existence in 2005 as a result of insecurity within the town, the major role of the organization then is to sanitize reform and protect the integrity of the town working in conjunction with Amawbia Vigilante group. Presently, Miss Onwuzuligbo Chiamaka Favour is the Pioneer Chairlady, women wing of AYV

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The aims and objectives of Amawbia Youth Vangurad which shall be non-political and non-religious are to protect. Defend and promote the interest of all indigenes and non-indigenes living in Amawbia through the attainment of the following objectives.
2. FUNCTION
The vanguard shall be an organ of Amawbia Town Union (ATU) and assist in ensuring discipline, orderliness and peace in Amawbia.
i. To execute tasks and other legitimate functions ASSIGNED TO IT by the President General or the Central Council of ATU.
ii. To settle dispute between members and encourage love, brotherliness and peaceful coexistence among members and villages.
iii. To helps or encourage the implement of ATU policies
iv. To encourage Amawbia Youth to be useful and productive that will make them an asset in any community they find themselves.
1ST INTERVIEW GRANTED TO SUN/INDEPENDENT NEWSPAPER AFTER INAUGURATION OF MR IFEANYI NWALUSI AS FIRST AMAWBIA YOUTH VANGUARD CHAIRMAN.
Following panic over the upsurge of burglary and other related crimes in Amawbia, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State, youths of the area under the aegis of Amawbia Youths Vanguard (AYV), have taken over vigilance of the town. By Okey Maduforo

So far, no fewer than three suspected criminals have been arrested and handed over to the police, while a brothel, alleged to have been habouring criminals was smashed and the commercial sex workers ejected from the hotel. President of the AYV, Ifeanyi Nwalusi, the high rate of crime in the area was as a result of the influx of strangers who do not live in Amawbia, adding that when the police commenced a manhunt for criminals in neighbouring towns, they seek refuge in Amawbia. Nwalusi further said that security operation is a collective effort to sanities the entire community and stamp out crime in the area, adding that the town union has given the association the moral backing to take over security functions and formations. He also announced that household property worth thousands of naira have been recovered from hoodlums and had been returned to their owners. Meanwhile, a manhunt for 25 suspected cult members in the area who were alleged to have spearheaded the maiming of two students recently in Amawbia has commenced. Nwalusi said the group of suspected cult members was formed three months ago, alleging that they go about extorting money from unsuspecting members of the public under the pretence of giving them protection from cult members and their activities.
