I …………………………………………………………….a citizen of Amawbia, having been elected as the President-General of Amawbia Town Union for the three year period beginning 1^st January, 19 ………., do herby solemnly declare that I will at times, faithfully discharge the functions of my office as President-General, as provided for in the Constitution of Amawbia Town Union. I will preserve truth and justice and ensure impartiality in all my decisions. I will protect the interests and integrity of Amawbia Community and Town, which I will always place above those of any other towns, which I will always place above those of any other towns or persons or sections of Amawbia Town. I will protect, defend and uphold the Constitution of Amawbia Town Union. I shall cease to function as President-General at the end of my term of office unless I am re-elected or if my term of office is terminated in accordance with the Constitution of Amawbia Town Union.

Finally, I pledge my loyalty to Okpaligwe and Amawbia Community in general.
